What do I need?

now wireless broadband can be used on a Mac or PC, on a desktop or laptop.

PC

Minimum Requirements

Your PC will need a Pentium class processor. If you are running Windows XP, Windows 2000 or Windows 98SE you will need a CD Rom drive and a spare Ethernet or USB port. If your computer is running Windows Vista, it will need a spare Ethernet port only. Note that at the moment you cannot run your now wireless broadband service over USB with a Microsoft Vista operating system.

Laptop

Minimum Requirements

Your laptop will need a Pentium class processor running Windows XP, Windows 2000 or Windows 98SE.

For our now starter, now active and now advanced services you will need a CD Rom drive and a spare USB or Ethernet port.

For our now card service you will need a spare PCMCIA slot.

Note that at this time the now card service cannot be used with laptops running Windows Vista.

Mac

Minimum Requirements

You will need an Apple Mac running OS X version 10.3.1 or higher with a CD-ROM drive and a spare Ethernet port.

Minimum Requirements

PlayStations and Home Networks - If you have more than one computer you can use a small piece of equipment called a Home Gateway to create your own personal Home Network to, for example, swap files, access information and share a printer.
