now wireless broadband is operated by UK Broadband, a wholly owned subsidiary of PCCW, one of the biggest telecoms companies in Asia with 700,000 broadband customers in Hong Kong alone.

In 2003 PCCW acquired the 15 licences across the country, that allows it to operate Britain's first true wireless broadband service.

The advanced wireless technology behind Britain's most exciting broadband service was tried and tested in several countries over recent years. Britain first experienced the benefits of now wireless broadband when it was successfully rolled out in early summer 2004 in the Thames Valley, west of London, under the brand name Netvigator.

Because the service is wireless, you can have a broadband connection in any room in the house. now provides this service without the need for a telephone line. In fact the system is so simple it can be self installed in a matter of minutes.

The company's yellow Smart cars and sales teams soon became a regular feature of the Thames Valley after the service got underway in eight towns including Reading, Slough, Maidenhead, Windsor, Woking and Aldershot. Netvigator rapidly became involved in the community as the footprint of the service spread, being recognised for its ease of implementation and second to none service.

A recent survey of 1,000 customers revealed more than 85 per cent of respondents were satisfied or very satisfied with Netvigator.
